Game made in ~3 days for Mini Jame Gam #10.

Push the Button is a brief 5-10 minute narrative-driven game. If you like Portal or Superliminal, you'll probably like Push the Button (though as it was made for a Jam, don't expect as much depth.)

PSA: For the best experience, please download the game. WebGL is provided as a convenience, but offers inferior performance (AKA you'll get stutters as new areas load) and visuals. Though if you're wanting to play on Web GL, it's heavily recommended to use a Chromium-based browser.  Firefox has a weird issue with the mouse controls.

Team: Just 1 dude with a heavy helping from the unity asset store.

Special Thanks:

  • Den of the Drake and The Bear Bard for additional voices
  • Crowe's Perch and Zydein for testing

Asset Credits:

  • Radio Music & some sound effects - Motion Array
  • Various sound effects - George Hufnagl, Sidearm Studios, GameMaster Audio, Universal Sound FX
  • Various icons - Qubits, KatGrabowska, Game Vanilla
  • Various models - Asset Store Originals, float3D, Polylabs, Elcanetay, Reynard Droste

Your game starts at 08:41. Excellent work! We both loved this and it should be enjoyed by everyone. The use of color was a great touch and the story telling was intriguing. The setting changing without warning really kept us in to it.

I's totally cool game very neat and really has a Portal feeling.

This game is really cool - most people aren't going to download though, and when you have to crouch and move forward in the web version, those keybinds combine to be Control+W, a keybind that closes people's tabs. I personally was so far in that after closing it, I don't really want to reopen and go through the beginning again, so I think you should change that so others don't get annoyed and not play your game to completion.

I developed this on Mac and totally forgot about Control + W. Thanks for the comment! I'll update the web version to be C + W.

Edit: You missed the best part though :)

Edit x2: Issue fixed
